Journeyman/woman Heavy Duty Mechanic

Job Description
	The mechanic is responsible to repair, troubleshoot, adjust, overhaul and maintain all company vehicles and equipment. Mechanics will be performing service and general maintenance repairs to a fleet of trucks, truck-mounted equipment, utility trailers and other equipment.
Typical Duties
	Safety is priority one for IVIS and its employees - all mechanics must comply with all government and corporate safety procedures; must attend all safety meetings Troubleshoot, diagnose and complete all necessary repairs on company equipment and vehicles Communicate with shop technician regarding extent of repairs and assistance needed Complete all vehicle/equipment maintenance and inspections Responsible for monitoring and meeting department budget Responsible to ensure all mechanical work completed in a safe manner Input information for purchase order Must be able to perform in shop as well as on site when necessary Must act in a courteous manner to portray a positive company image Be approachable to ensure employees communicate fleet needs Assist with training and provide guidance to apprentices and technicians (up to 44 hours per week) May have to perform other general duties as required

	Organized Have a keen eye Think/look outside the box Able to handle multiple tasks at times
Training and Expertise
	Licensed journeyman (woman) heavy duty mechanic - Red Seal Be able to complete CVIP certifications Must be bondable
