Hydrovac/Flusher Operator

Job Description:
	·	The Hydrovac/Flusher Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the hydrovac unit. The Operator will be expected to liaison with customer is a professional manner.

Typical Duties:
	·	Ensuring all equipment is operating in good condition and report any issues or malfunctions to supervisor
	·	Ensure truck is equipped with all the necessary equipment for the job site
	·	Perform pre-trip inspections
	·	Ensure all safe work practices and regulations are strictly adhered to
	·	Complete required paperwork
	·	Drive truck to specified locations
	·	Set up equipment for the work requested
	·	Operate the Hydrovac/Flusher truck in a conscientious manner
	·	Communicate effectively with team members
	·	Clean, lubricate and refuel equipment

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills
	·	Ability to distinguish between colours
	·	Excellent hand-eye coordination
	·	Job task planning
	·	Previous operation of Sewer jet or flusher truck would be an asset but not required – willing to train
	·	Mechanically inclined
	·	Critical thinking, decision making and problem solving skills

Required Training and Experience
	·	Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
	·	Valid Class 1 or 3 (with air brake endorsement) license
	·	Clean driver’s abstract
	·	Must be bondable
